100 Pints of Blood
The Mid-America Council and the American Red Cross are teaming up to commemorate the Centennial of Scouting with the 100 Pints of Blood for 100 Years of Scouting Campaign. The plan is to have each district donate 100 pints of blood to commemorate 100 years of Scouting. We will be using existing blood drives, but we will be asking the Scouts and Scouters of Packs, Troops and Crews to help us with the campaign. The campaign will run from December through February at a location near you. Scouts and Scouters will earn the Community Service Strip for their Centennial Patch and the Scouts will be able to earn the service requirements for rank advancement including Good Turn for America service hours. For more information contact: Jane O’Connor at 639‑5283 (Lewis and Clark District Coordinator), Diane Kratz at 334‑1604, Michelle Dunn at 431‑9272, or Lorrie Kurfman at 341-2723 (Mid-America Blood Donor Services of the American Red Cross).
Eagle Project Approvals
Eagle projects must be approved by the District project coordinator before you start work on the project. Our District project coordinator is Tim Robertson. He can be contacted at 731-5001 or oa97tim@cox.net. You must schedule a review meeting with Mr. Robertson at least two weeks before you plan to start your Eagle Project.
Youth Protection
Your Youth Protection training must be renewed every 2 years. Training is available on line at www.mac-bsa.org or by contacting Ray Ramirez at 573-5237 or lewisandclark.training@yahoo.com.
