A big thank you to everyone for helping with the Scounting for Food drive.
Join us April 17th – 19th at Camp Cedars for our Spring Camporee. We will have a morning full of our traditional events and an afternoon of patrol competitions including a tower building contest and patrol trebuchet shoot-off.
The District dinner is Saturday, April 11th at the Ralston High School. Flyers available at Roundtable.
April 2009 is Youth Protection Month and is an opportune time for adults and children to discuss this serious subject. Since 1988, the Boy Scouts of America has provided adult and youth training to combat this societal problem. Training is available on line at www.mac-bsa.org or by contacting Ray Ramirez at 573-5237
Come out Saturday, April 25th for the Omaha Police Department's Scout day- it can help earn badges and patches. Events are FREE for Scouts of all ages and include tours, learning about mounted patrol, the bomb unit robot, fingerprinting, crime scene investigation and more!
The Order of the Arrow spring conclaves are being held, May 8th – 10th at Camp Cedars and May 15th – 17th at Thomas Ashford Scout Ranch. Cost: $30 Ordeal Candidates; $25 Brotherhood Candidates; $15 members; FREE-Silver Arrow Passport. Registration is due one week prior to the conclave you are attending.
Come celebrate all the Scouts who have earned the honorable rank of Eagle Scout this year, and those who have received this recognition before April 25th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The featured guest speaker is John Gottschalk, national president of the BSA. Cost: $25 per person, $28 per person after April 10.

FAST TRACKS is a series of den meeting plans (two den meetings per month) designed to be used in conjunction with the youth handbooks. The Metro area will be holding a Tigers to Troops event this October. This is a combined Cub and Boy Scout event. It will be a great chance for Packs to find out what Troops are all about, and for Troops to connect with their prospective members. Contact Mel Clark for more details.
